My name is Michaele Razi (pronounced mick-el rah-zee) and I live outside of Seattle with my husband, two kids and our two rascally cats. I'm a children’s book writer and illustrator. I love children's books of all kinds: picture books, early chapter books, graphic novels, middle grade books and young adult. I enjoy all genres but I like to read (and write) characters who are silly, funny and a little bit naughty.
A few years ago, my mother unearthed a box of my old children's books. Cracking open those book took me back to my childhood memories. Those books filled me with wonder and possibility. They kept me company when I was lonely or sad. They kept me occupied when I was bored. And they fired up my imagination when I needed it most. It's an honor to write for children and I hope my books give them a fraction of what my books gave me.
